Inception Review

I think after about 10 times of watching it, I finally understand it. I hope

Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy, Michael Caine and Dileep Rao.

Inception is about Cobb (Leonardo Di Caprio) who is a specific type of thief. He steals corporate secrets, that are extremely valuable, by extracting the information from within their subconsciousness (dreams). This job has cost him his family life and he is not able to even go back into America. When Cobb is approached by Saito (Ken Watanabe) for one last job that can get him redemption and a chance to be with his family once again, Cobb can’t say no. The mission requires him to go for Inception (a dream with in a dream, within a dream). He needs to assemble a team to help him along this Heist, which requires him to instead of stealing a secret, planting an idea instead. The amount of planning can’t prepare the team for what they face and the challenge to actually make it back, without running out of time or getting stuck in limbo.

I remember seeing Inception, because the thing my brother wanted to take me to was sold out so we went and saw this instead. Thank goodness! Inception is another one of the best movies ever! The dream world is a fascinating place and the concept of this film is incredible by itself. The plot keeps you more than entertain, but can be slightly tricky to follow towards the end but just soak it up and enjoy it! Once the heist stops, the action does not stop and it does not hinder the film at all. I think this score, by Hans Zimmer, is one of the best that he has done. and it was the start of the “fog horn” blast we now get with every action film. The performances by everyone in the film were very solid and the casting was perfect. The visual effects are also great, as you can imagine a film about dreams would. The cinematography is superb too, there are loads of shots I can come out of the film remembering clearly and would work very well as a poster. I think that this film should have won the Oscar for best film in 2011, but it did win 4 for Cinematography, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing and Visual Effects and being nominated for Best Film, Screenplay, Score and Art Direction.

Overall, I rate Inception 10/10! A perfect film!

P.S. The top definitely was going to fall over

What do you think of Inception? Do you think that the top was going to fall over?
